The leadership of Gaia’s Garden is collaborative and has changed over time.
There is a core group of women who co-operate in planning the year, sharing the leadership of rituals and gatherings. Each year other women have joined this small group to create a broader base and to keep the ideas fresh and dynamic.
Meet Our Team
Jenny Cameron
Jenny Cameron is a Co-convener of Gaia’s Garden and the inspiration for much of our work. Her depth of knowledge and connection to the Divine Feminine is a sound base for exploration of new ideas and scholarship.
In 1979 Jennifer travelled for a year visiting matriarchal sites from Malta to Turkey and the Celtic sites of England, Scotland and Brittany - remaining evidence of a great goddess culture across the Western world.
Since then she has been exploring ways to express her own spirituality within a feminist framework, informed in more recent years by a concern for Gaia, the Earth.
Jennifer has been an activist, involved in organising feminist and then Goddess conferences, recently responsible for the She of 10,000 Faces art exhibition held in May in Melbourne, of goddess – women’s art.
She is a member of a Gaia's Garden Sacred Drama Group , Co-founder of the Gaia Temple and is currently working on a new book about matrifocal societies throughout Herstory available in 2020.
Tricia Szirom
Raised in a Christian family, Tricia learnt the importance of connection between spirituality and social action at a very early age through the actions of her parents. However, she was never sure about the image of god as an old man sitting on a throne in the sky.
Her feminism and involvement in the women’s movement strengthened this conviction. Her inquiry, and travel in Asia where Goddess is part of every day life, led her to joining with others to create a Goddess group in the mid eighties which eventually became Gaia’s Garden.
Through Gaia's Garden she is working to spread the messages of Goddess to other women.
Tricia has published seven books on sexuality, gender, women's rights, group work, and Goddess ritual and community. Co- founder of the Gaia Temple She is currently working on raising this and a new book about her path to Goddess whilst making Goddess ritual crafts available to purchase.
Priestess Pia Gaia
Raised in Goddess community Pia initiated as an Avalonian Priestess of the Goddess and Rhiannon; Goddess of love, sensuality, Sexuality & womens mysteries, through the Glastonbury Goddess Temple and Magdalene Mysteries School, UK.
Experienced ritualist, sacred dramatist and facilitator, Pia holds Womens mystery teachings and new paradigm activations through her work with Gaia's Garden and The Gaia Temple, along with her one to one Priestess coaching sessions with women.
Social media manager for Red Tent Australia, (along with Gaia's Garden and others), her passion for harnessing environmentalism, spirituality and the online social toolset empowers female change makers seeking support with their soul aligned businesses.
Having returned from studying regenerative culture at eco-villages around the globe Pia founded the Gaia Temple in 2019 and currently resides in Melbourne.
Margaret de Kam
Margaret de Kam came to the Goddess over many years, initially not having words to explain and understand the deep resonance she had with the earth, the seasons, and the depth of feeling she experienced when in the natural world.
Over the past 10 years she has participated in many Goddess events conferences and gatherings and has learnt many things and continues to ask herself many questions, she continues the journey now with new and good friends who are on the Goddess path, and through them and her own spiritual practice has developed a deeper understanding of the Goddess in the world. Margaret is a social worker working with children and young adults and their families who are troubled.
