Chanting & Drumming Resources
Chanting and drumming are timeless practices—ancient and ever-current tools for building community, connecting with spirit, and coming into rhythm with one another. You don’t need to be a singer to chant—just an open heart, a bit of courage, and a willingness to share your voice (a sense of humour helps too!).
We’ve gathered a rich collection of chants—over 70 in total—celebrating the Goddess, the Earth, and the sacred within and around us. Some may be familiar, some new, but all are shared in the spirit of connection and collective memory.
Explore the chant list in this downloadable PDF, and feel free to use it for your own practice, with your circles, or in community gatherings. However and wherever you join in, may these chants be a source of joy, grounding, and shared resonance.
Let’s keep singing together.

While you're on your Goddess journey, you may wish to deepening your knowledge, and we have just the place!
The Thea Gaia Reading Room holds a rare and remarkable collection of books on Goddess spirituality and feminist thealogy, possibly one of the most comprehensive in Australia.
The collection holds a unique collection of books on Goddess and women's spirituality covering the period from the early days of Goddess thinking to new publications and contemporary explorations. The collection also includes many original papers written by Australian Goddess theologian, Thea Gaia, herself.
The Reading Room is lovingly curated and now located in the Essendon home of Tricia Szirom. It is open by appointment to anyone interested in exploring these materials.
To arrange a visit, contact Tricia on 0407 336 373. Come, sit with the wisdom of the women who came before.
Decolonizing Solidarity
Dilemmas and Directions for Supporters of Indigenous Struggles’ by Clare Land

Our ongoing book recommendation!

Why Decolonizing Solidarity Matters
Gaia Temple strongly believes this book should be read by every Australian—especially those living in the southeast.
Decolonisation is not only political and social—it is deeply spiritual work. At Gaia Temple, we recognise that unlearning colonial mindsets and engaging in solidarity with First Nations peoples is an essential part of healing, community-building, and right relationship with Country.

Decolonizing Solidarity by Clare Land is a powerful, challenging, and necessary read for anyone engaging in activist, spiritual, or community work on this continent. We believe it should be widely read, discussed, and digested—particularly by non-Indigenous people seeking to walk more consciously and accountably on Aboriginal land.

Valuable insight:
"It is an academically written book so being in a book club helped me stay motivated and get through the content. The discussion element was important as it meant I got so much more from the book to hear, feel and share with others. Our book club ended up bonded and closer after going through such a transformative experience together."
– Jo, book club participant

Want to read it in community?
